My Hometown
I grew up in Alexandria, Egypt. It is known for having one of the most beautiful shores on the Mediterranean with deep Greek and Roman history. For years Alexandria was a Mediterranean metropolitan city with a very diverse population that you can still see in the architecture of older buildings inspired by Italian and Greek 18th-century architecture. Living there taught me the importance of diversity and how it enriches culture and art in ways that could last for generations.
My Major and Future Plans
Currently, I am majoring in Computer Science. After graduation, I plan to use my technical experience with my business experience to either start my own business or pursue the path of project management or technical business development.
My Relationship with the Internet
I was born in 1995, the year many believe the internet went mainstream. Growing up I'd say I lived most of the internet's "growth spurts," and it made me appreciate it even more. If you have never used dial-up internet, you definitely don't appreciate ADSL enough. I witnessed firsthand the big boom of social media, and have been an avid social media user since I was 8 or 9. Last but not least, 9 things out of 10 I know in life, I learned in one way or another from YouTube.com, and that sums up my relationship with the internet.
